What you can expect from

Giles Counseling

I’m a relationship therapist.  That does not mean that I only work with couples, which is what many people think when they hear “relationship therapy.”  Being a relationship therapist means that I focus on helping people with the important relationships in their lives.

I work with both individuals and with couples, and the majority of my training and practice (and passion) remains with helping people improve their connections to and understanding of themselves and the people most important to them. I help people who want to improve—or save—their relationships with their family, with their partners, and most of all, with themselves.

Aside from relationships, I have trained in and also practice individual therapy for other issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, and boundaries. I find that this overlaps with relationship therapy, because healthy relationships require that those involved in the relationship are healthy—or, at least, are working on becoming healthy.

Why I'm a therapist

My passion is to help those lost, even stranded on their journey to find healing.

I meet you where you are, whether in a relationship or not, because being healthy in a relationship often starts with being healthy individually. As your path to recovery dips and bends, I’ll give you the knowledge, tools, and experience you need to make it through.

I’ve helped hundreds of individuals and couples transition from their state of pain to one of fulfillment and recovery. This experience makes me unique and one of the top relationship therapists in Houston, Texas.
